Group Therapies

Please contact us before attending any groups to discuss if the group would be a good fit. All groups require an individual meeting with a staff person before attending. All groups are facilitated by licensed professionals. A more detailed description of each group is listed below. Group participants are required to pay fees when enrolling. For each session attended, clients can request that we file an insurance claim, and reimbursement from your insurance company will be sent directly to you. Refunds are allowed if requested at least 48 hours before the first group session; no refunds are provided once the group begins.

Group Rules:
Be accountable. Be on time. Be honest about yourself.
Support each other. Judgement, criticism, and confrontation of other members is not allowed.
Respect each other's privacy. Do not talk about group activities outside of the group.
Respect each other's boundaries. While the group is running, interaction with other group members outside the group is not allowed.
Do your best to be an active participant. Do the work.
Adult Substance Use Support Group
This group helps members:
- Explore goals related to substance use
- Discuss options for making or sustaining changes
- Receive support and encouragement from others
Participants are required to be substance free while in attendance. This is NOT a 12 step group, a CBT group, a religious group, etc. No commitment for attendance is required. Participants pay for each group that they attend. 18 years and over only.
OCD Support Group
This group helps participants:
- Enhance self-acceptance and self-compassion
- Discuss options for treatment
- Discuss living with OCD
- Support each other
Note: The group does NOT include any interventions. It is a "come as you are" group. Participants pay for each group that they attend.
CBT for Depression / Anxiety Group
This group utilizes a structured CBT format to help clients:
- Understand what maintains depression and anxiety
- Develop healthier thought patterns
- Make behavioral changes
- Deal more effectively with guilt or shame
CBT for Insomnia Group
This group helps clients to make changes that reduce insomnia:
- Understand what maintains insomnia
- Develop healthy sleep schedule
- Manage worry more effectively
- Improve sleep hygiene
Assertive Communication Group
This group helps participants to:
- Understand assertive communication
- Develop assertive scripts for challenging situations
- Rehearse and practice assertive scripts in group setting
- Receive support from others during the process
